“Seeing is not enough; you have to feel what you photograph.”
- Ansel Adams

About Me.
Thank you for taking an interest in my photos! I'm so glad you're here!
In the summer of 2025, I made the decision to return to photography as a sort of expressive arts therapy. I dabbled with 35mm and some digital in college, but had not picked up a real camera in almost a decade. I once read a quote from an unknown source that said "Photography is loving something so much that you want to stop time for it."; that it truly what it feels like for me. With my camera, I aim to freeze moments in time across all of the things I love so deeply. As a San Francisco–based amateur photographer with an incurable live music habit, and a long-standing love for nature, animals, travel, and an insatiable curiosity about people and cultures, I am eager to document the beauty I see in the world. I hope that my images serve to facilitate deeper connections, spread joy and shared understanding. I firmly believe that creativity heals, music is medicine, and visual story telling brings people together.
I’ve lived in the Bay Area since 2004 and work professionally in healthcare research and technology, with a background in psychology, neuroscience, and health policy. I also actively participate in the Burning Man community, and have managed operations and serve on the board for a nonprofit family camp supporting families affected by brain cancer.
My photography goals are ever developing, and I'm still looking to hone my particular style and focus areas. I admit that being a hopeless romantic makes it difficult not to fall in love with all types of photography, but currently, my biggest interest is in combining photography with my love of music to capture live concerts, and photographing daily life in San Francisco. I love the energy of the performers and crowds, and the challenge of shooting in low light, with minimal gear and being constantly on the move! I am wholly an amateur enthusiast at this time, but as an eager student, I am looking to gain experience wherever I can, and will happily capture any event I am invited to with permission, and provide all images at no cost, only asking that you give me credit when posting or sharing. I would also love to meet with any other photographers in the area who are willing to mentor me or exchange ideas. I am happy to assist professionals with the hope I may learn any tips or tricks to help grow my skillset and I welcome feedback on all my work posted here. (Please be constructive! I'm still learning!)
When I’m not shooting, I’m probably road-tripping, snowboarding in Tahoe, diving in the ocean, exploring spooky places, or asking if I can pet (and photograph) your animal. I am especially fond of dogs, and am the proud mum to a "super-mutt" named Bruce, who is frequently featured in many of the images showcased on this site.
